International Girls Child Day – My voice, our equal future

IPKO Foundation honors this year’s theme proposed by the UN " My voice, our equal future” with the focus on advocating for solutions to the challenges the girls faced on the education system disruption due to COVID-19 pandemic. With the support of US Embassy and USAID - After School Support for Teens Program, this edition 51 girls gathered from elementary and gymnasium schools from seven (7) municipalities (Prishtina, Gjakova, Mitrovica, Kacanik, Gjilan, Janjeve, Fushe Kosove) engaged and conducted research related the challenges faced by COVID 19 in the education system & beyond. We were pleased to have girls from roma and serbian community, who had the opportunity to socialize with other girls and work together in this activity. This activity required planification and design a week prior to the event, to reach the goal.
