Skilling Teachers, Trainers, and Youth for a transformative future

This July 15th, IPKO Foundation is celebrating World Youth Skills Day by acknowledging the importance of those who help us provide the youth of Kosovo with practical and applicable skills that will help them build a better future for themselves and their communities.  With the 2023 theme being “Skilling Teachers, Trainers, and Youth for a transformative future”, IF is happy to have the opportunity to highlight the teachers and trainers that have worked with us on our many projects developing and promoting youth skills through technology.

Our first recognition goes to the teachers who were trained and participated in our Teacher Training programs in the Gjilan, Lipjan, Gjakova, and Fushe Kosova municipalities using the distance learning platform shkollat.org in 2022. The covid19 pandemic brought about many new educational challenges and required a consorted effort on behalf of educators to step up and adapt to ensure the continued success of their students. Our Teacher Training program was able to successfully train 943 teachers across our 4 pilot schools on innovative distance learning techniques. This would not have been possible without the many teachers who were willing to participate and secure accessible education for their students. We celebrate you!

We also find it important to recognize our partners who have collaborated with us on our many projects and that have worked to help build the capacity of the youth of Kosovo. From UNICEF Kosovo who supported UPSHIFT, PODIUM and PONDER programs, to the Kosova Education Center - KEC and the European Union who are working with us on the new AADA (Action Against Discrimination) project and other partners who worked with us on our STEAM Engine Workshop. We celebrate your continued commitment to helping us provide the youth of Kosovo with the necessary skills to develop themselves and their communities.

IPKO Foundation continues to provide and foster the technological skills of the youth of Kosovo, and we acknowledge that this would not be possible without the many skilled teachers and trainers that work with us. We are grateful to have this moment to celebrate them, and we hope you will join us!  Happy World Youth Skills Day!
