Kosova Education Center and IPKO Foundation jointly implement the Action Against Discrimination for All (AADA) project, supported by EU Office in Kosovo

We are delighted to announce that Kosova Education Center - KEC, in collaboration with IPKO Foundation, has started implementing the Action Against Discrimination for All (AADA) project, supported by EU Office in Kosovo. For IPKO Foundation, this is the first implementing project funded by EU Office in Kosovo.

AADA project focuses on promoting a supportive environment and anti-discrimination policies in Kosovo’s schools and society.

Through this project, the Kosova Education Center - KEC and IPKO Foundation, with the support of the EU Office in Kosovo, strive to empower school communities to defend vulnerable groups from discrimination and ensure that all children are treated with complete respect for their dignity and rights. This is because gender equality, human rights and dignity, and fighting social exclusion and discrimination are core values that Kosova Education Center - KEC and IPKO Foundation share.

The AADA project began on February 1 of this year and is anticipated to be executed during the following three years until January 2026. It is estimated that around 5,000 girls and boys aged 15-18 from 15 upper secondary schools, including gymnasiums and professional schools, as well as local authorities from 10 municipalities, will benefit from the project.

Our mission is to help students become agents of change in their communities and to strengthen upper secondary schools' and responsible municipal authorities' ability to deal with hate speech and discrimination against vulnerable groups and in the school environment and vulnerable groups.

To successfully reach our goal, the project with be implemented through education, mediation, and the development of intercultural skills.

The project AADA includes a list of activities that will be implemented during the next three years. We tend to establish 15 School Clubs consisting of boys and girls from different ethnic backgrounds, implement Peer Mediation, carry out counter-hate speech methodologies in collaborating schools, and organize three rounds of summer school for 180 schoolchildren from 10 selected municipalities based on PONDER Methodology.

Through the AADA project, we strive to support 15 Schools Clubs to produce digital content, develop and populate official social media channels/profiles of partner schools, and organize social campaigns to raise public awareness through the dissemination of the digital content produced by Kosovo youngsters.

Our end goal for these activities is to deal with all forms of discrimination and counter-hate speech, followed by organizing a national closing event.

By preventing and counteracting discrimination and increasing citizens' sensitivity towards the problem, we will promote a supportive environment in schools and the community, thus contributing to achieving the overall objective.
