Wiki Academy Kukes is on the right track

Wiki Academy Kukes is about to finalize the application phase for the articles contest. Only 5 more days are left ‘till the deadline for application about articles.

Since its launching, Wiki Academy Kukes has emitted positive energy and motivated many youngsters to be more active in promoting their hometown, research and writing process for Wikipedia articles.

IPKO Foundation has received many interesting applications from Kukes’ youngsters so far, and the number of applications is increasing as we are about to reach the deadline of the application process (15th of February).

Besides article contest, IF received great encyclopedic photos for the photo contest, which might be used as relevant additions for articles during Wiki Academy Kukes, scheduled on 21st – 22nd of March.

During the preview weeks, IF team organized Open House Presentations in all high schools and gymnasiums of Kukes, Has and Tropoja, including the University of Tirana, and American Corner Kukes, where people from those venues were cooperative during the presentations, and also showed the typical Albanian hospitality.

Wiki Academy Kukes aims to bring more than 100 participants from Kukes who will become wikipedians and also digital ambassadors of their city or region.

They will write articles and post photos which will represent their traditions, nature, notable people of their region, and also the history full of magnificent stories.

We can’t wait until #WikiAcademyKukes starts.
