On the occasion of the International Day of the Girl Child, IPKO Foundation in cooperation with USAID’s Basic Education ProgramGirls Coding Kosova, and BoneVet Makerspace organized the Girls and Technology event, with the motto of the program ”21st Century Skills.”

The major aim of this annual activity was to inspire girls to enter the fields of computer science, engineering fields and technology. Girls from different municipalities of Kosovo had the opportunity to be involved in several workshops and to practice educational technology through group work and later present their work to their peers and visitors.

“This event helped us define our skills and develop the values for achieving personal and professional advancement” – said some of the participants of the event.

On the sixth edition of the “Girls and Technology” event, The Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Arsim Bajrami and the USAID Kosovo Mission Director, James Hope showed their support to these young girls and empowered them to continue their education in science, LEGO robot, animation, coding, electric circuit/solar energy, and programming.

In compliance with IPKO Foundation’s mission, this event managed to encourage and inspire youngsters and aid their skill development in a collaborative manner.
