Call for applications - paid internship at IPKO Foundation office in Prishtina

Positions: Two (2) Administrative Interns

Paid internship period: May - July, 2021 with possibility of extension

Who are we?

IPKO Foundation is a non-profit foundation in Kosovo that supports the development of future  generations of leaders who use technology to implement innovative solutions to local and national  development challenges, while enabling an environment where they can reach their full potential through an improved policy and institutional context. Our work is at the nexus of public institutions, the private sector, and non-governmental  entities.  

Who can apply?

Students in the last year of studies or have a BA Degree.

Criteria and qualifications:

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Basic experience on organizing non-formal activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be fluent in written and speaking Albanian and English
  • Be open-minded and have strong communication skills
  • Flexible and highly motivated to work with other team members
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas

Main duties:

  • Assist the team in the projects implementation
  • Help with office needs (logistics, welcoming guests, keeping notes, etc) and during activities as well
  • Plan meetings and take detailed minutes.
  • Update and maintain office policies and procedures
  • Work with IF staff to plan, design, and implement Foundation initiatives, events, including helping to write a variety of materials (e.g. case studies, reports, work plans etc.)
  • Conduct research and coordinate activities.
  • Providing general administrative and organizational support as needed
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Translating materials from English to Albanian and vice versa
  • Constant communication with the team regarding daily tasks
  • Supports the project team in accomplishing their tasks
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
  • Contribute to good and considerate working relationships with all staff in the organization, demonstrating respect for their own roles and responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned
