IPKO Foundation Scholarship winner, Brikena Avdyli, from the American University in Kosovo (AUK), was recently awarded a Kosovo American Education Fund (KAEF) fellowship to pursue graduate studies in the United States.

As a winner of the first generation of the IPKO Foundation Scholarship, Brikena was about to focus on her studies without the added worry of paying her tuition fees. Her hard work and contribution helped her succeed and finish studies a quarter earlier. Brikena will graduate with highest honors in May 2011 from the American University in Kosovo. As a winner of the Kosovo American Education Fund (KAEF) Fellowship, she will continue her studies in a graduate program at a university in United States in the field of International Development and after two years, she will bring back home all the experience.

The mission of the Kosovo American Education Fund (KAEF) graduate fellowship Program is to provide graduate fellowships at American universities for talented Kosovars who have strong commitment to the economic development of their country. KAEF fellowships are not limited and include fields such as: Agriculture, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Management and Policy, Journalism and Mass Communications, Law, Public Administration-Policy, and Renewable Energy.

This experience will help Brikena achieve greater professional and personal growth, enable her to contribute to the development of Kosovo. We are proud of the investment IPKO Foundation has made in Brikena’s education and wish her continued success in her studies and her career.
